Debit Cards

Tremont Credit Union now offers the VISA Debit Card- a new debit card you can use with your TCU checking account.

What is a Debit Card?
Debit cards are a convenient way to pay for goods and services, without the hassle of writing a paper check! Debit cards can be used anywhere VISA is accepted, as well as at ATM machines and point-of-sale terminals displaying the NYCE, Cirrus, CO-OP or SUM logos.

How Does a Debit Card Work?
Debit cards operate similar to a VISA credit card. Simply present your card to merchants to pay for goods or services and sign the receipt. The transaction is then deducted from your Tremont Credit Union checking account. Debit Cards can also be used at ATM machines and point-of-sale terminals. These transactions will require that you enter a personal identification number (PIN).

Are There Any Fees for Using a Debit Card?
No!!! There are no fees charged by Tremont Credit Union for using your debit card.

Who Can Get a Debit Card?
Members must have a checking account with Tremont Credit Union and be enrolled in our Member Telephone Services system in order to activate the card.
