SCAM ALERT:
We want to alert you to scams targeting consumers in which fraudsters may pose as Tremont Credit Union or another financial institution to obtain your personal or account information.
Be cautious of suspicious calls, emails and text messages. Fraudsters may attempt to convince you to share personal information, provide online banking credentials, or click a link or QR code that appears legitimate.
As a reminder, Tremont Credit Union will never:
Ask you to provide personal or account information through an unsolicited email or text message.
Ask for your online banking password or PIN.
Threaten to cancel or close your account if you don’t provide information.
Tips to protect yourself:
Don’t click links or scan QR codes in unexpected emails or text messages.
Don’t provide personal or account information over the phone or by replying to an email or text message.
Do carefully enter and verify the website address you intend to visit, such as [www.tremontcu.org].
Do bookmark Tremont Credit Union’s legitimate website and use that bookmark for future visits.
Do contact us directly if you receive a suspicious call, email or text message claiming to be from Tremont Credit Union.
If you believe you have been the victim of a scam or have provided someone with your account or online banking information, contact us immediately.
